Leidos is seeking a Technical Writer who will support a large, multi-year contract providing Timing and Synchronization to Department of Defense. The work that's being done on this Leidos-led, prime contract is extremely important and offers its team members the opportunity to work autonomously and explore new technologies. Primary Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
Develop white papers, presentations, and manuals from information collected from team members.
Develop Tactics, Techniques, & Procedures (TTP) from information collected from team members.
Ensure proper classification of documentation in accordance with the T&S Security Classification Guide (SCG).
Assist the Tier III SME in developing training manuals.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, and release notes, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
Serves as Technical Writer/Editor responsible for writing, editing, and preparing technical reports as well as planning, organizing, researching, writing, and editing program documentation.
Prepares a variety of correspondence and reports.
Ensure all documentation has the proper format, content, and ensure timely completion and transition of each assigned project.
Reviews and edits technical reports and documents.
Coordinate with internal and external customers and task order personnel to resolve comments and provide consolidated reply to all comments.
Determines and plans technical report requirements and ensures, through research, that the technical report will meet the intended use.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of prior relevant writing experience or a Master's degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience, additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
US Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Strong technical writing skills with clear, concise, and complete manner.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in effectively formatting technical documents to include writing, editing, illustration, interpretations, and depth coverage.
Minimum 2 years’ experience with following DoD standards, interpreting network drawings, cyber security experience, and interpreting operational procedures.
Self-Motivated, problem solver who’s willing to take initiative to develop expertise.
Strong listening skills to capture the necessary information from Security Analysts and Architects
