Position Overview
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Brand and Communications Manager, reporting to the CMO, as part of our brand and marketing team.
You’ll help build and develop our brand and communications, bringing the Egg brand to life for our B2C and B2B customers across clean energy solutions across solar & Storage, Electric Vehicle Charging and more. Through results focused PR programs, scalable and measurable content marketing campaigns and top-class community creation, engagement and growth, you’ll help establish Egg as a leader in the sustainability space.
You’ll be responsible for building, developing, and leading our content and community strategy, bring the Egg brand to life through top-class community engagement and eye-catching content creation.
A storyteller at heart, you’ll flourish in this role if you can collaboratively assist in the development and execution of strategic, integrated communication programs, designed to build brand awareness and consideration, ultimately leading to an impressive top-line business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Working with your manager to develop and deliver brand and communications campaigns across PR, content, social media, community, influencer marketing, events and more.
Developing and implementing exceptional communications plans to effectively reach our target audiences.
Utilise customer research, insights, and competitor insights to inform our approach to brand building and creating a much-loved brand.
Collaborate with teams across the business to evolve processes that ensure consistency of the brand across customer touchpoints, from advertising to customer support.
Work closely with our product, operations, and sales teams to identify audiences, drivers and barriers to inform brand marketing decisions.
With support from an external PR agency, secure a steady stream of positive media coverage across key titles and audiences to support out B2C/Consumer and B2B/Business needs.
Manage the communications calendar, collaborating with team members to amplify our various communications.
Identify key milestones, cultural trends, and other opportunities, and transform them into timely and relevant communications and PR campaigns that lead to measurable results.
Continuously produce outstanding marketing and communications campaigns designed to drive growth.
Assist in management of agencies and freelancers.
With your manager, develop our community strategy to engage with relevant audiences, ultimately building trust, increasing awareness and generating advocacy for the brand.
Working with our Regulatory team to ensure all content and comms we create, and engagement amongst our community meet all industry compliance standards and guidelines.
Devise and evolve methodologies for tracking and reporting on brand and communications efforts against defined KPIs.
Partnering with our sales teams to provide relevant, up to date collateral.
Qualifications/Experience
5+ years of marketing / communications experience
Proven experience building successful brands that stand out – ideally in a startup that’s much loved and admired for their standout brand.
Experience in delivering campaigns across digital and traditional channels, with an understanding of how brand building can support revenue goals.
A hands-on history of successfully delivering projects in at least two of the following areas: integrated marketing, PR, content marketing, social media.
An understanding of best practices when it comes to PR, social media and content marketing.
You understand how SEO works and have a working knowledge of HTML and content management systems.
Prior experience working with cross-functional and remote teams in a startup/scaleup or high-growth business.
