The Lincoln Journal Star, the capital city’s daily newspaper, is looking for a full-time public safety reporter eager to break news as well as deliver important watchdog journalism to our readers.
Covering the beat requires the ability to quickly file breaking news stories while juggling long-term investigative and enterprise stories. We want a candidate who can ask tough questions, investigate trends and find fresh angles to pursue.

A bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is required. We will consider strong recent graduates with reporting experience. Being social media savvy is required and video experience is a plus.
The salary range for this position is $38,000-$42,000
