As Social Media Editor, you'll be a master multitasker and innovative thinker who pushes all the channels into new territories, and continuously looks for ways to optimise growth and engagement. Well-versed in social tactics and ready to translate your insights into activations that capture our audience and drive referrals, You'll create social-first content across a variety of platforms and ensure that it meets brand guidelines and delivers commercial opportunities. You'll also work to maximise the potential of every single story we tell online using social media.

What you’ll be doing

You'll lead Livingetc’s social as a strategist and content creator, working in a smart and efficient way to find the maximum potential for the channels.

Strategically, innovatively and organically find follower, engagement and referrals growth via impeccable social calendar planning, pitch-perfect execution and close collaboration with the editorial team.

You'll create, image source, schedule and publish social posts for daily content across all Livingetc’s social channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Flipboard) keeping core KPIs in mind and in an organised, performance-driven fashion. Shoot top-quality short-form video.

Always be switched-on and reactive to what’s happening in pop culture and social media, having the confidence, editorial nous and skills to execute on-brand responses in a timely and effective manner. Create and manage content calendars; pitch and execute new social franchises and work on pro-active social strategies.

Monitor social channel KPIs and analytics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, delivering and interpreting data for the wider team and using said findings to constantly pivot, improve and find opportunities within the social strategy. Provide insights on the latest social trends, technologies and competitor activities, ensuring the brand doesn’t miss a beat.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

A proven background in social media, and ideally experience in a relevant field.
Strong time management and organisational skills; an ability to prioritise effectively.
Visual and photographic skills to create your own assets for social channels, such as low-lift video or self-shot content. Familiarity with Final Cut, Adobe Suite, etc.
Experienced in publishing, scheduling and analytics tools, as well as confidence in interpreting and explaining data.
An interest in the design and interiors sector, understanding what makes an on-brand image and knowing what makes a fantastic story for the Livingetc audience.
Solid understanding of the key different social media platforms and their nuances, best practices and latest developments.
Ability to work calmly under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and provide self-guidance.
A team player, with a resourceful can-do attitude, who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. A great communicator and presenter – both with the industry and the wider Future team.
