The right candidate is smart, curious and has a passion for news-gathering.
Beat responsibilities could include a wide variety of news and feature stories ranging from local schools and community events to investigative reporting. You should have a strong interest in community reporting and a passion for telling engaging stories.
The candidate must work well under pressure and have the ability to meet tight deadlines, yet be flexible enough to adjust to changing situations. Applicant must be able to think of new creative ways to cover daily assignments and have a strong work ethic. We're passionate about our role in our communit and seek journalists who share that passion.
Social media and basic photography skills are required. A journalism degree or comparable experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
