MailOnline, the world's largest English-language newspaper website with over 200 million monthly unique visitors globally, is looking for an experienced and talented Deputy Health Editor to join the London team on a permanent basis.

Suitable candidates will have experience in health journalism, preferably in editorial or senior reporter roles, and have a profound understanding of the medical world, health trends and issues.

Main responsibilities include:

Collaborate closely with the Health Editor in planning, developing and curating health content.
Edit and fact-check articles to make sure they are accurate, clear and authoritative.
Commission and work with writers, reporters and medical experts to ensure copy is sparkling and informative.
Ensure health content is visually appealing to readers through the use of graphics, pictures and interactive tools.
Generate fresh story ideas, hunt down exclusives and spot talking points that will engage our millions of readers.
Write regularly on everything from breaking news and explainers to longer reads and investigations.
Connect with experts in a wide variety of fields, including public health, policy, drug development, and nutrition.
