This role positions you at the cutting edge of social storytelling; translating complex narratives into compelling, digestible short-form video content that directly engages our audience. You will have your finger on the pulse of trending topics that resonate with global youth, focusing on breaking news, viral moments, internet culture, and entertainment storylines.

This is an in-office position in our NYC office.

As part of our global team, your insights, creativity, and understanding of what people are talking about online will shape our approach to social video storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

Conceptualize, shoot, edit, and produce enticing original short-form video content.
Collaborate closely with news editors and reporters to craft compelling narratives for videos.
Write captivating copy, including headlines and captions, to boost retention and interactions.
Monitor social media trends and formulate a unique approach to tell the story.
Leverage insights to monitor and enhance performance, translating data into actionable strategies.
Plan, produce, and execute original short-form video series, generating views, comments, and shares.
Serve as a staunch advocate for Facebook Reels within the organization, educating colleagues and providing guidance on best practices.

Requirements

Expertise using Adobe Premiere
Experience building and managing a large social presence.
In-depth knowledge of trending UK news, politics, and entertainment.
Expertise in visual storytelling, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Passion for video production and social media.
A strong understanding of how to adapt packaging on a story-by-story basis.
Willingness to work flexibly according to the news agenda.
