Managing Editor

Missourian Media Group is seeking a managing editor who excels at community journalism to continue our tradition of providing award-winning news coverage to the Franklin County, Missouri, communities we serve.

The successful candidate must have a degree in journalism, have a nose for news, and be dedicated to providing in-depth and unbiased news coverage on a variety of media platforms to our growing number of readers and followers throughout the county.

Must be a self-starter and able to work independently while consistently meeting hourly, daily and weekly deadlines on breaking news stories. Good writing, editing and multimedia skills are essential in this posltion, as well as being able to work in a team environment. Knowledge and command of grammar, spelling and AP style are a must.

We are looking for a proven leader and change agent with good communication skills. In addition to managing the news team, the managing editor will assist in our community engagement efforts.
