Marketri LLC is a rapidly growing B2B strategic marketing consulting and fractional marketing services provider to mid-sized, growth-oriented companies throughout the U.S. We are seeking a dynamic content writer who has exceptional creative and technical copywriting skills on a contract basis, as needed.
This person should have an extensive writing portfolio or samples with clients spanning different industries in the B2B space. Portfolios or samples should consist of a variety of content pieces and assets such as blogs, guides, whitepapers, case studies, web copy, email campaign copy, ad copy, video scripts, sales and marketing asset/collateral copy such as brochures, one-pagers, and pitch decks. Candidates who apply should be purely freelance and have the availability to take on one-off projects and recurring type work, as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
Communication: Excellent and proactive verbal and written communication skills, including communicating content ideas and concepts with clear reasoning behind proposed solutions to internal and external professionals or stakeholders at all levels.
Collaboration: Work closely and cross functionally with the team of Strategists, Managers, Directors, VPs and FCMOs to develop content concepts. Interview subject matter experts or clients, digging into their areas of expertise to develop insightful, original, and thought-leadership type content.
Deadline Adherence: Manage your workflow effectively, meet project deadlines, ensure timely delivery and adhere to estimated hours per content assignment using our internal project management system.
Quality Output & Control: Produce quality, highly detailed, and error free work. Conduct thorough and careful reviews of your own work before handing it off to our team. Ability to be able to work from content briefs outlined by our team and follow with meticulous detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project or assignment objectives.
Creative Input: Be able to think outside of the box. Contribute innovative ideas and creative solutions as necessary to elevate the overall quality of content projects, assets and deliverables.
Feedback Incorporation: Actively incorporate feedback from team members and client stakeholders to refine and iterate on content pieces to ensure alignment with project goals.
Brand Consistency: Understand and ensure all content created adheres to each client’s brand voice and tone guidelines.
Content Writing & Editing:
Create unique content (print and digital), including but not limited to blogs, guides, e-books, white papers, case studies, video scripts, one-off email blasts or email campaign series, press releases, brochures, pitch/informational decks, landing page copy and more.
Craft on brand, optimized webpage copy for full website relaunches.
Be able to develop messaging and positioning that works hand-in-hand to create a consistent, strategic brand narrative that resonates with client's target customers and audience.
Review and edit the writing of colleagues and clients to assist in reshaping content into something compelling that follows best practices.
Ensure all content creation complies with SEO best practices.
For digital in specific, creating content that ranks well, reviewing and adjusting keyword strategies and heading tags, alongside our digital team.
Write effective and SEO-friendly meta descriptions.
Assist with tracking competitors and trends within our clients’ industries to develop recommendations that keep our content competitive as needed.
Qualifications:
A strong writing portfolio across content mediums that include various B2B writing samples.
Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, liberal arts, marketing, or a communications-related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
15+ years of experience writing a variety of content types within marketing and communications.
Depth of knowledge in B2B industries including: Saas, tech, insurance, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, investment banking, accounting, finance and other professional services firms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with digital customer experiences and the buyer’s journey.
A plus if you have:
Agency experience or have worked freelance or on a contract basis with an agency before.
Worked in a project management system before such as Asana, Teamwork, Basecamp or Monday.com
