Commerce Reporter

MarketWatch seeks an experienced reporter for its new MarketWatch Picks section, which helps readers make smarter decisions about how to spend, save and manage their money. This reporter will have a lot of freedom in developing essential coverage that helps readers make sense of their money, from selecting the right credit card, to getting a mortgage, to digging out of debt and investing well — all in keeping with our larger mission to level the playing field in all financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience reporting in the financial services space, and be passionate about breaking down sometimes complicated topics in a way that will engage our audience and help them choose the purchases that best fit their needs and budgets. The reporter may do everything from writing buying- and how-to guides, to in-depth reviews of financial products and services, to Q&As with prominent individuals, and more – all so that readers can make informed decisions with their money. The reporter will play an integral role in shaping the new section, as well as assisting with social media efforts to help us gain new readers.
