Senior Entertainment Reporter

Mashable is seeking an experienced Senior Entertainment Reporter to join our team. We are seeking a self-starter with natural curiosity, who is comfortable pitching long-term pieces as well as tackling trending topics with a mindful approach. A deep passion for film, television, and the evolving realms of streaming releases is essential. All forms of pop culture appreciation are welcome. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating original entertainment content, including reviews, breaking news, imaginative editorials, interviews with celebrities and craftspeople, evergreen content, and SEO pieces related to viewers' second screen experience. You’ll develop coverage around both quicker-turn news and longer-term trends with an eye toward inclusivity and incorporating a diverse array of voices and creators. The candidate will be a team player, who is able to multi-task and work on deadline in a fast-paced environment. Time management and communication skills are a must. A successful entertainment reporter at Mashable will be familiar with our core coverage areas and enthusiastic about collaborating with a team of reporters, editors, and audience development experts. As part of this role, you’ll also understand and have the ability to execute upon optimization and social tactics that grow and deepen audience reach and engagement.
