Media and Video Journalist Intern

We Are Jersey is seeking a motivated Media and Video Journalist Intern to join our dynamic team. As an intern, you will play a crucial role in managing our social media platforms, creating engaging content, and contributing to the growth of our online community.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Management: Assist in managing and curating content for We Are Jersey's social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and other emerging platforms.

Community Engagement: Engage with our audience, respond to comments/messages, and devise strategies to foster community growth and interaction.

Multimedia Content Creation: Collaborate on the creation of short-form multimedia content tailored for various platforms, including videos, reels, stories, and other visual content.

Interviews and Content Gathering: Support in conducting interviews, gathering stories, and capturing compelling content that aligns with the mission and vision of We Are Jersey.

Requirements:

Passion for storytelling and an interest in multimedia journalism, social media, and digital content creation.

Proficiency in video editing tools/software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) and knowledge of various social media platforms.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to engage with diverse audiences.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapt to evolving tasks, and meet deadlines.

Locations will vary per projects. such as Newark, North Brunswick, Trenton, and so on as needed.
