The senior editor for audience and engagement for MediaNews Group and Tribune Publishing is responsible for helping develop and coordinate social media and search engine optimization strategy with senior editors from throughout MNG and Tribune Publishing with an emphasis on increasing audience across platforms, driving digital subscriptions, and maximizing the impact of our iconic newsrooms, including the Chicago Tribune, San Jose Mercury News, Baltimore Sun and Denver Post. This role will take ownership of refining and creating SEO and social strategy, including data analysis, leading meetings and newsroom training. It also will have a meaningful voice as a key member of a team focused on newsroom product and development, newsletters and messaging, and business intelligence and analytics. However, this position is not limited to these responsibilities. At the heart of this role is helping to deliver data-driven experimentation, innovation and guidance to our newsrooms.
