As a Digital Content Writer specializing in Navigating Cultural Differences, you will play a pivotal role in bringing the rich tapestry of diverse cultures to a global audience of grassroots Christian missional leaders. Your primary focus will be on crafting engaging and informative digital content that delves into diverse missional subjects, including culture studies, religious studies, diaspora studies, ethnic & reconciliation studies, mission studies, and more. Your content will serve to bridge the gap between academia and the broader community, making complex cultural and contextual concepts accessible and relevant.
Your creativity will shine as you develop content strategies that align with the institution's educational goals, catering to a diverse audience interested in navigating cultural differences. Whether it's writing thought-provoking blog articles, creating narratives for compelling videos, or curating content for social media, you will contribute to fostering a digital space where cultural discussions thrive.
By exploring and highlighting the nuances of missiology, worldviews, intercultural living, migration, refugees, interpreting services, TESL/TEFL, and linguistics you will point the way for people to thrive while interacting with the culturally different.
By creating content related to African studies, Asian studies, Latin American Studies, peace and reconciliation studies, anthropology, folk studies, and cultural geography you will enable missional leaders to better understand the context in which they live and work.
Through your efforts, you will underscore the social and cultural issues of serving in Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Judaic, and Folk Religion cultures as well as New Religious Movements, you will contribute to the global dialogue on religion and spirituality from an evangelical perspective.
In this role, your ability to think critically, understand cultural concepts deeply, and communicate effectively will be paramount. You'll collaborate with cultural and missiological experts and the marketing team to ensure that your content reflects the institution's mission and ethos. Position Overview
As the Digital Content Creator for The Missional College, you will be at the forefront of content development, crafting compelling narratives that span various digital platforms. Your responsibilities encompass not only the creation of engaging blog articles, social media posts, and transcripts for video production, email content, and newsletters but also require in-depth exploration of cultural and missiological subjects within our curriculum, including missiology, interculturality, anthropology, folk religions, world religions, global reconciliation, migration, and refugee issues. Collaboration is key in this role, as you work closely with the TMC Staff Team, Global Strategic Communications Team, and the Missional College faculty experts to align content strategies with the institution's goals and mission. Your expertise in SEO and digital marketing will be instrumental in optimizing content for search engines and ensuring its broad reach. Additionally, your creative flair extends to multimedia production, where you'll storyboard visually appealing and shareable content that resonates with our diverse audience. Fostering community engagement through discussions and feedback, and staying adaptable to emerging digital trends, you will play a vital role in maintaining the freshness and relevance of our theological studies content.
The ideal candidate will work online, must be fluent in English, have an adequate personal computer and graphic design software, and have a stable internet connection. The candidate must provide an online portfolio of theological-oriented written samples to be considered for the role. Portfolio submissions demonstrating expertise and content creation leadership across diverse mediums and tactics are required to be considered.

Responsibilities and Duties
Content Creation: Develop compelling content across various digital platforms, including blog articles, social media posts, videos, and newsletters, focusing on the theological areas outlined in our curriculum.
Research and Understanding: Dive into the cultural subjects covered in our school, staying abreast of developments and trends in cultural studies, diaspora studies, ethnic & reconciliation studies, mission studies and world religions, and other relevant areas.
Collaboration: Work closely with the TMC Staff Team, Global Strategic Communications Team, and Missional College faculty experts to align content strategies with the goals and mission of the institution.
SEO and Digital Marketing: Apply SEO principles and digital marketing strategies to optimize content for search engines and enhance its reach and impact.
Multimedia Production: Create narratives for visually appealing and shareable multimedia content, ensuring that it resonates with our diverse audience.
Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community engagement by encouraging discussions, feedback, and sharing of theological insights among our online audience.
Adaptability: Stay adaptable and responsive to emerging digital trends and technologies, ensuring that our content remains fresh and relevant.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree (minimum), Master's degree (preferred) in writing, communication, marketing, or related field of study area from a recognized university (preferably an evangelical, Christian university).
Must also have a background in cultural studies with a Master's degree in cultural studies from an evangelical university or seminary.
Strong understanding of missional concepts and a passion for exploring culture.
Proven experience as a Digital Content Creator, preferably in an educational or Christian ministry context.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Creativity, innovation, and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital content.
