VP, Corporate Communications

This position is responsible for supporting and promoting business lines by developing and deploying high-impact, integrated internal and external communications strategies and programs to directly support business plans consistent with our brand, culture, principles, and objectives. This professional must have proven experience in providing strategic communications counsel and influencing senior executives. For this opportunity, MUFG places a high premium on exceptional writing and editing skills -- on par with that of a seasoned journalist. We are also looking for someone with keen judgment, particularly with respect to the ability to assess opportunities, make well-reasoned recommendations and see the process through with minimal oversight. This position requires an experienced communications professional with strong financial media relations contacts and experience in building relationships with key media. A track record in working with a strategic communications agency is also preferred. The successful candidate will have experience generating various communications including, but not limited to: news releases, talking points, Q&A documents, speeches/remarks, biographies, leadership messages, and news stories for internal and external publications, social media postings, web content and other materials. We are also looking for someone with a natural interest and curiosity in the banking and financial services industry -- a must if the candidate is to understand trends that impact the sector while considering potential MUFG media opportunities.
