Community Reporter - MyLondon

It is a really exciting time to join the Reach family. We are now looking for a Facebook Community Reporter to join our Live network as part of our newsroom team in London. The role is part of the Community News Project, a partnership between Facebook, the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) and local publishers. Previous journalism experience or education is not essential. We want people who care about their local communities and want to make a difference and have a positive impact. The purpose of the role is to find and report on the stories, issues and talking points that matter to specific communities and groups of people in and around this location, in a way which ensures as many people as possible discover, engage with and respond to our work. We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content. This role is initially an 18 month fixed-term contract.
