At National Geographic, we believe in the power of science, exploration, education and storytelling to change the world. With the support of the Special Project Editor, the Assistant Media Editor works on collecting, ingesting, and organizing the assets (Photo and Video) created by The National Geographic Society Zenith Programs. The Assistant Media Editor helps support and enhance the goals and mission of NGS by assisting to curate and sharing the collected visual assets (Photo and Video) to content creators across NGS, NGP and our media partners. This includes researching rights and clearance information, creating accurate descriptions and precise keywording using the taxonomies that are departmentally specific, dynamic and ever changing. Provides final quality assurance of footage before submitting assets into the Society's archive and updating grants system and internal constituencies.
