Producer, New Daily Show

The Daily Show Producer creates and produces content for WUNC's daily news and public affairs program. This program, a brand-new endeavor at WUNC, will include interviews, analysis, and features on a variety of subjects (news, politics, culture, etc.) of interest in North Carolina. Primary responsibilities for this position include selecting and researching show topics, pre-interviewing and booking guests, writing scripts and promotional materials, and editing audio recordings for broadcasts. The Daily Show Producer will also create content for digital and social media platforms, participate in fundraising activities and station events, may occasionally fill-in for the Executive Producer, and other duties as assigned.

The Daily Show Producer reports to the Executive Producer and works in collaboration with the co-hosts and producer colleagues. The team will actively work to ensure that a diversity of stories and participants are selected for production, and that our content is relevant and accessible to diverse audiences.
