The New Braunfels Herald-Zeitung, an award-winning five-day daily in the heart of South Central Texas, is looking for a new magazine editor to take over the newspaper’s vibrant publication, New Braunfels Monthly. The monthly magazine highlights the bustling music scene, local arts, activities, nonprofits, tourist destinations and much more. New Braunfels’ constant growth has provided the prefect backdrop for those looking to take the next step in their journalism career. The candidate is expected to have excellent page design and layout skills in addition to photography, copy editing and working well as a team and also aiding in daily newspaper duties as needed. The job has been combined with an assistant managing editor position in the past, and we’re looking for an applicant who can juggle multiple assignments without breaking a sweat. Adobe InDesign experience, as well as top-notch written and oral communication skills, are a must. The magazine position is perfect for those ready to dive into one of the fastest-growing cities in America and help bring its stories to light.
