News and Investigations Editor

InvestigateWest is seeking a full-time news and investigations editor to oversee our growing team of staff reporters posted across the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 2009 as a nonprofit, InvestigateWest is dedicated to producing change-making investigative journalism for the region, and over the years our work has resulted in nine new state laws and a number of other significant reforms. The organization is on solid ground financially; we added three reporters in 2022 and aim to add more in 2023. This editor will oversee their work on a day-to-day basis and report to the executive director. This job is full-time and includes benefits. While InvestigateWest is headquartered in Seattle, we are open to editors working remotely from home anywhere in the state of Washington, Oregon or Idaho.
