What’s the role?
We’re looking for a talented Lead Copywriter to join the Newscorp’s internal agency. This role is responsible for ideation and the delivery of content for our clients (internal & external), to encourage engagement, links and shares. You’ll have a solid understanding of content and will have either worked in a similar role at an agency or client side. You’ll have a strong understanding of the distinct nuances of working with various content types (especially digital / social) and will be able to demonstrate a range of approaches to creating engaging content to maximise its opportunity for success. As a key player in our content creation efforts, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of crafting compelling and engaging copy for namely digital & social platforms but print, TVC and scripting are also a requirement. This individual will be collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and effective content that aligns with our brands and resonates with our target audience.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, energetic person with the desire to shape a dynamic working environment and approach to collaborating with clients. You should be hungry to push the boundaries of what we can do with content/digital and keen to make their mark in the department and agency. Armed with a strong copy background, you’ll have experience in ideation, managing deadlines and deliverables, overseeing the content output for different clients and writing for a variety of different content formats. You’ll have strong leadership skills and be able to deliver constructive feedback, supporting and challenging the team as they develop. Resource/task management and organisational skills are a must. The ideal candidate will have unrivalled ability to prioritise workload and deliver multiple projects at any given time.

Working with an outstanding team of specialists in strategy, outreach, digital PR and SEO, as well as design and development teams, you’ll be committed to creating content together which is unique and cohesive, engages our clients’ audiences and achieves results.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Collaboration:
Co-lead and inspire a creative team, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their skills and creativity.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, senior stakeholders and external clients to ensure cohesive and effective communication strategies.
Content Strategy:
Execute a comprehensive digital content strategy that aligns with overall marketing goals and brand identity.
Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to inform and refine content strategies.
Copywriting Excellence:
Create high-quality, engaging, and persuasive copy for various digital channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and online advertisements.
Ensure that all content is on-brand, consistent, and optimised for search engines.
Various brief types: Script writing, audio/radio scripts, TVC scripting, print and eDM content, Social media and digital content
Campaign Development:
Co-lead the conceptualisation and development of marketing campaigns, ensuring that the messaging is compelling, relevant, and drives desired actions from the target audience.
Compliance and Consistency:
Ensure all digital copy adheres to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Maintain consistency in brand voice and messaging across all digital platforms.
Who are you?
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
Proven experience as a digital copywriter, with a portfolio showcasing successful digital campaigns.
Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, best practices, and content optimisation.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
