Lifestyle Co-Host/Producer

Raleigh, North Carolina is one of the hottest and fastest growing markets in the country. WNCN CBS 17 is the local CBS affiliate and we’re looking for a co-host/producer for our weekday lifestyle show, My Carolina.

My Carolina showcases local businesses, restaurants, fashion, music, non-profit organizations in a fun and informative way that highlights their contributions to our community.

Come join our awesome team bringing fun, creative and interactive stories to our communities. You’ll present content on-air and help produce behind the scenes.

You’ll work closely with the shows lead Producer and Co-Host, writing stories, show segments, interviewing guests/clients both in studio and on location. Collecting information, video, or photos at remote locations for post-production. Greeting and assisting guests during show preparations. Researching show topics and developing questions for guests in coordination with the producer. You’ll be one of the faces of the only lifestyle show in Raleigh (market 22) and participate in station and community events to help grow the shows brand. You’ll also help maintain the shows social media account and assist with all online content.

Duties Include:

Excellent communication skills required to actively work with all departments (Sales, Creative Services, News, Production, Programming) at the station.
Assists in writing, copy editing, researching, and coordinating content.
Superior on-air presence-Interviewing guests/clients in the studio and on location.
Knowledge of current events, pop culture, and compelling subjects.
Help find local engaging stories to highlight on My Carolina.
Researching show topics and developing questions for guests.
Writing and editing stories and in studio pieces.
Ability to shoot video is a plus not required.
Working with lead producer and co-host in booking guests.
Working with production team on daily show recording.
Work with sales department to help ensure a positive experience for clients.
Ability to deliver pre-produced shows and stories on time and on brand.
Post stories to shows website and daily social media posts.
Other duties as assigned by shows lead Producer and CSD.

Requirements and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 3 Years On-Air Lifestyle Hosting & Producing Experience.
Station Representative at Community Events.
Adobe Premiere editing ability.
Knowledge of ENPS and Daybook helpful.
