Social Media Producer/Journalist

Brisbane Times is seeking expressions of interest for a full-time social media producer/journalist to join the newsroom in Brisbane. This is a senior and pivotal role. We are looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail and fresh ideas about digital storytelling to help coordinate and distribute Brisbane Times content through current and emerging social media channels. The successful candidate will report to the Brisbane Times editor and also the Nine metro mastheads’ growth content editor with the aim of better distributing our content, reaching new audiences and acquiring new subscribers. The ability to work at a fast pace is essential and some weekend work will be required. Experience as a reporter, editor, producer, designer and/or photographer would be an advantage, and the role (or roles) may be modified to suit the successful applicant.
