Job Duties:
- Research and identify potential grant funding opportunities
- Write and submit grant proposals, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines
- Collaborate with Executive Director and Board of Directors to gather necessary information for grant applications
- Edit and revise grant proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness
- Develop and maintain relationships with funders and grant-making organizations
- Monitor and track progress of grant applications and reporting requirements
- Assist with budgeting and financial aspects of grant proposals
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding sources
- Stay up-to-date on trends, best practices, and regulations related to grant writing
Requirements:
- Proven experience in grant writing, including a successful track record of securing grants
- Excellent research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Knowledge of contract management principles and practices
- Familiarity with proposal writing techniques and strategies
- Proficiency in budgeting for grant proposals
- Experience in fundraising strategies and techniques
- Knowledge of donor databases such as Raiser's Edge or similar systems is a plus
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to the organization's overall fundraising efforts
Education:
- Bachelor's (required) Master's (preferred)
