NY Daily News Digital Producer

The NY Daily News is seeking a skilled, flexible and dynamic Engagement Editor to join its audience team and help drive growth across digital platforms. Working with some of New York’s most engaging and dynamic journalism, this editor’s work will focus on growing the reach of that content through web production and content preparation. Tasks will include programming the home page and web pages based on audience data and The Daily News’ mission, managing social media accounts, improving SEO, administering multiplatform news alerts and compiling email newsletters. The Engagement Editor may also prepare articles, photos, video and other content for publication on NYDN’s digital platforms. The role includes working on strategic growth initiatives and training other newsroom staff on SEO and data trends. As a member of the Daily News audience development team, you will learn growth strategies, tools and products at a historic print and digital brand. The ideal candidate will be creative, collaborative, detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced newsroom. You will also be reliable, team-oriented, digitally savvy and flexible.
