The New York Post is seeking a Part-time Copy Editor (10-15 hours/week) to join the Features/Lifestyle/Entertainment Desk. You will be editing feature-length stories about entertainment figures, short lifestyle stories for the web and gossip on Page Six.

Schedule varies for this role, with shifts usually weekday afternoons and evenings for approximately 10-15 hours/week. Additional hours, occasional Sundays and late night coverage of award shows will also be needed.

Note: Shifts are primarily remote, but weekly shifts in our Midtown offices are required.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Experience copy editing, proofreading and fact checking on tight deadlines

An excellent sense of grammar, diction and spelling

Edited in AP style and easily adopts house style specifics

Familiar with New York’s arts and culture scene

Informed and up to date with pop culture and celebrity news

An appreciation for the humor and unique perspective of the New York Post

A fast learner who thrives on the pace of immediate and daily deadlines

Experience working in WordPress or other CMS

Open to entry-level candidates eager to learn!

Salary Range: $15.00/hr– $125,000
