The Page Six video team is seeking a Video Content Coordinator to help publish compelling, shareable videos about celebrities. This person will play a key role on a new Page Six studio team we are launching ensuring that the relevant content is published in real time to our website and a multitude of social and syndicated platforms. The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, organized and can showcase a proven track record of cross-team collaboration and execution at digital news operations.
The candidate should love celebrity journalism and possess deep knowledge about the latest celebrity gossip, feuds, scandals and hookups. They should live and breathe celebrity lifestyle, fashion and social media, with their fingers on the pulse. They will be a key fulcrum between the video team and nationally renowned celebrity entertainment and gossip team.

NOTE: This is a 5 day a week in-office role.
Job Responsibilities:
Manages all video content deliveries, metadata, images on all NYP Digital Platforms, syndication partners and social media
Tracks and processes daily ingestion and encoding of all incoming video content into our video platforms
Performs QA of all video deliveries, selects and crops still images to be used as thumbnails
Uploads stills into online CMS and shares video ID with content team for publishing online
Updates all metadata and custom fields before and after video content is published to reflect final titles, descriptions and programming types
Creates and manages program objects allowing content to feed into our various platforms and to syndication partners
Communicates details about new videos, content issues, and publishing information with internal teams
Supports internal teams with any requests for player and preview links as well embed codes
Coordinates and optimizes metadata and asset deliveries between internal teams for all platforms
Helps gather photos and other media and supports production as needed
You should also be comfortable with reaching out to try to clear video from original sources that you will find on various social media platforms
Qualifications:
2+years of experience working in a fast paced online news environment
Encyclopedic celebrity knowledge
Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and reporters
Implement best practices for video metadata, thumbnails, and discovery on all videos
Familiarity with content management systems is a plus such as WordPress, video CMS like JW Player and web analytics tools like Parse.ly, Crowdtangle, etc.
Familiarity with key tools in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects) also a plus
Familiarity with the New York Post and our writing style
Use web analytics to monitor audience engagement with our videos and strategize for growth on various platforms
Open to working evenings, holidays or weekends if required
Must enjoy working collaboratively and accurately in a fast paced but fun environment
Strong news judgment and attention to detail and journalistic values a must
