The Content Editor is responsible for working closely with training content creators to ensure grammatical, stylistic and technical accuracy in all instructional materials used for Paycom's internal and client training programs. This role will help proofread all learning deliverables as the final approver before distribution, manage electronic content libraries, update our custom stylebook, test learning courses and maintain project plans.

Responsibilities

Ensures Paycom's standard of quality across all learning content, including but not limited to scripts, e-learning courses, guides and videos
Proofreads and provides feedback to content creators while working on strict deadlines
Assists with writing original content, such as the creation of guides, course descriptions, examples within demo codes and other training or communication materials
Maintains project documentation and report progress according to team standards
Updates all content as needed to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
Uses Paycom's learning management system to upload and deploy material and provide recommendations for improvements to the learning management system and course deployment methods
Attends and participates in meetings as required
Adheres to all policies of Paycom including those outlined in the Paycom Employee Handbook
Completes projects accurately and timely as defined by Paycom management
Assists coworkers and Paycom management when requested

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

Superior command of the English language, including rules and usage.
Knowledge of AP Style
Experience in technical or creative writing and/or editing.
Strong project management skills
Ability to handle a number of high-priority projects simultaneously and effectively.
Ability to review and analyze a wide variety of information and recommend specific action.
Self-educator, able to accumulate knowledge related to the products, services, industry, markets and resources affecting the payroll and HR spaces.
Strong collaborator, able to drive execution by working well with others across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, English, or Communication

Skills/Abilities:

A strong work ethic and love for learning
Excellent communication and editing skills, both written and verbal
Extensive knowledge of AP Style
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with aggressive deadlines
Act as a brand ambassador by modeling Paycom values in every interaction with clients, colleagues, and general public
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Familiarity or willingness to learn Articulate and Adobe software
