Position Title: Producer Reports To: Executive Producer Location: Providence, Rhode Island Summary: This is a highly creative role that requires solid storytelling, journalism, production, organizational, and communication skills. The Producer will collaborate with a group of talented colleagues to create, develop, and execute broadcast and digital content; coordinate assigned productions; research stories; conduct interviews; communicate and collaborate with teams for electronic field production (EFP), studio, or remote programs as assigned; log video; write scripts, and work closely with photographers and editors.

What the Producer Position Does: • Produce series, specials, and short digital segments. • Coordinate the activities of staff assigned to productions. • Work collaboratively with production crews including videographers and editors in the development and execution of projects. • Conduct necessary research to obtain information required to develop stories and concepts. • Write scripts. • Arrange and conduct interviews. • Successfully complete projects on time and within budget. • Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience / Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience. • Minimum five years of experience writing and producing nonfiction content, with a strong focus on field production. • Must be a strong writer and storyteller capable of producing visually impactful stories. • Experience in a journalism organization. • Strong expertise in video production techniques. • Demonstrated ability to produce for both broadcast and social channel distribution. • Ability to shoot video and edit on Adobe Premiere preferred. • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with colleagues. • Ability to travel to shoots throughout New England, focusing on Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts. • Must be available for occasional evenings and weekends.
