Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan fact tank that informs the public about the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world. It conducts public opinion polling, demographic research and computational social science research in the areas of U.S. politics and policy; news and information; internet and technology; religion and public life; science and society; race and ethnicity; global attitudes; and U.S. social and demographic trends. Pew Research Center does not take policy positions. It is a subsidiary of The Pew Charitable Trusts. The Center’s work is carried out by a staff of approximately 170 based in Washington, D.C. Pew Research Center is looking for an innovative and accomplished director to lead the News and Information research unit in our Washington, D.C., office. The director oversees a research team seeking to understand the changing ways Americans learn about the major trends and events shaping society in the face of a rapidly changing media and information landscape. The team employs multiple methodologies to conduct this research, including survey research, computational social science and content analysis.
