Pillar4 Media is seeking a Health Writer to join its fast-growing team.

As a member of the Pillar4 Well health content team, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and other team members to play a crucial role in our content production process. You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, and well-researched copy that will engage our consumer audience and fit perfectly with our media partners’ voice, tone, and style.

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the managing editor, the writer will:

Write health informational and product review content for consumer audiences.
Interview medical experts and relevant professionals for research and story quotes.
Develop working relationships with our medical advisory board members
Work with team leads and editors to constantly refine and improve content creation style.
Assist in product testing as needed across health categories.
Help to source and/or create appropriate stock, product, and custom imagery for your stories.
Become an expert in our health categories and stay informed on the latest developments and/or relevant news to keep your content up to date.
Demonstrate a meticulous approach to your work and display a highly organized, focused process and an ability to execute.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or related field preferred.
1-3+ years of proven dexterity with written language. You can translate ideas and complex research into an attractive, accurate copy that engages and informs your audience. You may demonstrate this with a portfolio of varied writing samples directed at different audiences.
Experience and/or passion for SEO and content marketing a plus. If you don’t have this experience, you are eager and passionate about learning and applying these strategies to your content consistently and naturally.
Problem-solving and agility. You thrive in an environment where there is no playbook for success. You can adapt to different tasks and shift priorities as needed. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are energized by helping to build a brand-new team.

Comfort in working with an editor and receiving feedback on your writing, adapting to new styles, practices, and platforms.
