Pitches Wanted (Comics) (WORLDWIDE) | $150 per article

New Posted 24 October 2022 | Remote | The Gutter Review

Deadline: 31 October 2022 (or until spots are full) Chloe Maveal, Editor in Chief of The Gutter Review, is looking for pitches: Our upcoming theme for November is "Cornucopia of Controversy"! We're looking for pitches with an accessible, analytical perspective on comics (or films) that subverted the norm and shook things up—for better or worse! Pitches don't HAVE to fit into this box, of course, but we love a theme around here. (Our budget is small for the time being, however, so spots are limited for the month!) We pay a flat $150 USD via PayPal upon finalized draft. Our monthly budget is extremely fixed as we run solely on donations, so spots are highly curated and limited per month Again, we only take pitches regarding comic books and visual media—preferably lesser known, critically unsung, or controversial/subversive in nature. Please refer to our existing articles and our pitch guide for any additional information on what fits the bill as far as subject matter and how to pitch. Deadline: The end of October is preferable, but realistically we take submissions until spots are full. We currently have two still open and are looking for comic book essays only. Please refer to our pitch guide on our contact page for any additional information.
Open to international writers? Absolutely!
