We prefer articles that editorialize on popular health topics using novel, nontraditional methods of analysis. Pitches should be brief, with a single paragraph explaining the story idea. We seek timely stories about the practice of medicine, including clinical innovations, health policies and healthcare narratives. We publish a range of features and give wide latitude to subject matter and stylistic presentation. All pitches should include an angle relevant to physicians and health policy leaders. We seek contrarian perspectives on widely covered news topics. We do not aspire to break the news. Instead, we want a nuanced analysis of news topics that do not appear elsewhere. Ideally, reporters will have experience writing for a clinical audience and the ability to view research with a skeptical eye. We prioritize articles that include direct sources. We cover topics related to health policy and the individual patient experience. We are always looking for novel insights and unique perspectives that may not appear elsewhere. For an idea of what we are looking for, we recommend reading our articles regularly.

WE LOOK FOR:
- Claims backed by links to research or case studies.
- Relevant, well-researched posts with actionable tips.
