News Producer

PIX11 has an opening for an experienced, strong, take-charge producer who knows how to create memorable newscasts.

The right candidate will have a track record of solid news judgement, be visually creative, aggressive, and have the ability to make decisions

and communicate in a clear, concise manner. We expect excellent news judgment, collaboration with talent and staff and a can-do attitude.

Candidates must be fast and calm under pressure, able to handle breaking news, and open to receiving feedback.

The ideal candidate is energetic, a passionate storyteller and communicator.

Requirements:

-Minimum of 3 years producing experience (large market)

- Creative presentation style

- Solid news judgment

-Strong presence in control room/booth

- Experience in a newsroom, the ability to remain calm under pressure

- Excellent writing, spelling, grammar, and copy-editing skills

- Ability to multi-task and coordinate several crews and responsibilities simultaneously

- Creative presentation style, and ability to showcase all resources and elements

- Must be a team player, ability to communicate well with talent and reporters

- Unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards

- Knowledge of ENPS a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and strong organization skills

- Must be available to work in-person, holidays, shifts that include nights, and flexible with schedule

Pay range: $85,000-90,000 annually.
