Congressional Newsletter Writer

POLITICO is seeking a high-energy reporter to join one of our industry-leading newsletter teams. The position would help guide our coverage of Congress, with a focus on deciphering leadership dynamics as well as tracking floor action. The job requires deep knowledge and robust sourcing on Capitol Hill, familiarity with the details of congressional procedure and personnel, and the ability to spot stories, trends and scoops. A passion for compelling storytelling is essential; an appreciation for quirky narratives is a positive; a good demeanor and collaborative approach is an absolute necessity. 

We’re looking for a hungry reporter, someone ideally with significant experience covering Congress. We also want a person who is willing to partner with and support colleagues to produce great reads and write frequently with verve.
