Employment and Immigration Reporter
POLITICO is seeking a high-energy, enterprising reporter to cover the policies and politics shaping the American workforce. You’ll chronicle the legal and regulatory changes influencing employees and employers. You’ll explore what the Labor Department, Congress, labor unions and businesses are doing to navigate the world of work that’s being reshaped by Covid-19, immigration shifts, the gig economy, automation and more. The ideal candidate will be a scoop-driven reporter who can dominate a daily beat for all platforms of POLITICO while also delivering enterprise stories that break new ground, beat the competition and set the standard for labor reporting in Washington and beyond. With the traditional workplace being redefined and the job market experiencing unprecedented changes, we’re looking for someone who will break news on these complex trends and put them in a larger economic context for both specialized business readers and a general audience.
