Executive Producer, Video

POLITICO is seeking a skilled journalist with a strong track record in visual storytelling to lead a team and continue to develop our video programming strategy. The executive producer for video will lead our video team in creating distinctive high-impact videos that leverage our expertise in politics and policy and that our influential audiences can’t find anywhere else. The executive producer will be part of the newsroom leadership team and will work closely teams across the newsroom to extend POLITICO’s unique brand of journalism to video, on platform and off. The EP will oversee breaking news video as well as original enterprise series and projects, direct outside contributors and manage relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate is a creative and entrepreneurial self-starter, a gifted visual storyteller, experienced manager and proven collaborator who has an itch to experiment in this space and redefine what it means to do POLITICO video. Strong editorial judgment and a deep understanding of viewership trends in news video are critical. Most important is a vision for where you want to take POLITICO video and a sense of how to succeed.
