National Security and World Editor
POLITICO’s mission from the very beginning was to win the audience. We dedicate ourselves to providing accurate, nonpartisan, impactful information to the right people at the right time so that they can act with confidence and speed. We experiment to avoid being disrupted and we have fun disrupting others. And we are not afraid to risk failure if it means being the best at what we do.

POLITICO is seeking a collaborative, experienced, entrepreneurial editor to lead our coverage of the making of national security and foreign policy. The editor would oversee a team of reporters covering the National Security Council, State Department, Pentagon and related institutions in Washington and beyond — with a mandate to break big, exclusive stories on how and why major decisions are made, as well the people who make them. He or she will also play a leading role in shaping our expanding global coverage — including Global Translations, our international newsletter and podcast franchise — and help drive stories that connect power centers from Sacramento to Brussels, Washington to Beijing.
