New York Health Reporter - NYC

POLITICO is seeking an enterprising, collaborative and scoop-driven journalist to cover the politics and policy of health care in New York. Based in Manhattan, the reporter will be part of a two-person team covering providers, insurers, legislation, pharmaceuticals, finance and Medicaid reforms in the state, and will have a particular focus on New York City. The team produces a daily newsletter read by an influential, professional audience. The reporter will also contribute to our coverage of city government and write dispatches for POLITICO’s national readership. We want a fast, determined reporter who will break news and deliver a steady cadence of high-impact enterprise. The ideal candidate knows how to build a network of knowledgeable sources and leverage it to produce stories with robust angles, provocative and fresh ideas and a clear sense of purpose.
