Reporter, Race & Identity Newsletter
POLITICO is seeking a smart, enterprising and energetic reporter to helm a new twice-weekly newsletter breaking down how our institutions, policy and news coverage are shaped by race and identity, and to contribute reporting across our multiple platforms. The newsletter will publish issues at the intersection of policy and inequality and include features that get ahead of news cycles and internet culture. It will also showcase the breadth of Politico’s identity reporting across all policy verticals.

We’re looking for a journalist with a snappy writing voice and a love of politics and policy, who seeks to break news and distill the political landscape via meaningful, authoritative context. Through a combination of original reporting and elevated writing, the author will break down aspects of identity and privilege for power players and highlight nontraditional political voices. What’s the next Black Lives Matter movement—and why does it matter?
