POLITICO is seeking a Senior Producer to manage the daily workflow of a 3-person team that produces Playbook Deep Dive, our flagship weekly podcast. This person keenly follows politics and relishes the inner workings of the Capitol, White House, and wider D.C. We’re seeking a collaborative Senior Producer to oversee the show’s production, and who is motivated to creatively push boundaries with narratives, sound design, and field recordings as we sculpt the most interesting behind-the-scenes Washington stories into audioscapes. Playbook Deep Dive is a podcast dedicated to telling the stories behind the power. From Congress and the White House to bar stools and back rooms, POLITICO's top reporters and Playbook authors bring you the most compelling and confounding stories that explain what’s really going on in Washington. It’s a key part of POLITICO’s popular Playbook brand, which also includes the newsletter authored by top POLITICO talent. The lively podcast features a rotation of hosts, composed of POLITICO’s ultimate DC insiders: Playbook’s Ryan Lizza, Rachael Bade, Eugene Daniels, and Tara Palmeri. Our episodes cover a range of interests: a sit-down with Senators Lisa Murkowski and Joe Manchin on how their friendship has survived the split in the Senate, revealing conversations with Black reporters covering the White House across different administrations, the intricacies of the NYC mayoral race, and the life-and-times of a “lobbyist hunter.”
