Sustainability Editor

New Posted 23 July 2020 | Arlington, VA | POLITICO

POLITICO’s mission from the very beginning was to win the audience. We dedicate ourselves to providing accurate, non-partisan, impactful information to the right people at the right time so that they can act with confidence and speed. We experiment to avoid being disrupted and we have fun disrupting others. And we are not afraid to risk failure if it means being the best at what we do.

POLITICO's newsroom is in search of an experienced editor with a deep interest in global and domestic sustainability issues, including climate and water policy, waste and pollution issues, the intersection of financial policy making and environmental concerns, and the tug-of-war between government agencies, environmentalists and corporations on sustainability issues. The editor will work across the broad POLITICO newsroom, with reporters and editors across the country, to produce a robust pipeline of content on environmental and sustainability issues. We are looking for an innovative, dynamic journalist who will have a creative approach toward the content and information shared with readers. The role will entail finding unique ways to curate and enhance content coming from POLITICO’s various platforms and elevate copy for both a sophisticated set of subscribers and more general audience.
