Reporter – The Glenwood Springs Post Independent

The Glenwood Springs Post Independent seeks a reporter to connect our community with the stories that matter in Garfield County, Colorado. We have six municipalities, three school districts, a college district and a whole lot of public land in our county. Our community faces many issues surrounding equity: a lack of affordable housing and resulting staff shortages, persistent educational gaps between white and Latino students, tension between development and conservation, Colorado River watershed worries and more. Spanish language experience is a plus. Recent college graduates who have already published content through a student news organization or other outlet are encouraged to apply. The chance to be part of a collective voice that is sought out by our community to help make sense of where we live and everything that entails. Outside of the office, you’d be living in one of the most beautiful areas of the West. We don’t have a lot of beaches, but we’ve got mountains, deserts, world-class skiing, whitewater rafting, gold medal fishing and more.
