Sports Reporter

The Idaho Falls Post Register is looking for an entry-level sports reporter ready to jump into the profession and spotlight our local athletes in print, online and across social media.We want to tell the stories that resonate with local readers, from player profiles, compelling features, notebooks, interesting gamers and more. While high school sports is our bread and butter and we cover 20+ schools, the position offers the opportunity to cover a wide variety of sports, including rodeo, minor league baseball and a World Series champion American Legion team. Proficiency in online journalism and knowing how to use social media are requirements for this position. Video and photography skills are a plus, but not required. The Post Register is a multimedia news organization with an award-winning sports section and a vibrant web presence.
