MediaWise is seeking a Multimedia Producer & Content Creator to teach digital media literacy — how to spot misinformation — through virtual and in-person workshops, regular appearances at conferences and other events, engaging social media content, and marketing campaigns with influencers.
MediaWise has been an innovator in the field of media literacy, with WhatsApp courses for Spanish speakers, webinars for older adults, engaging influencer content for Gen Z through our MediaWise Ambassadors, and a text message course for anyone. We are looking for a champion of truth who can come up with our Next Big Idea — and be its biggest advocate online and in the press.
The ideal candidate can engage a big crowd, create a killer training workshop, and drive the logistics behind putting on a successful event. They should be an incredibly curious person, who can dig into research on misinformation, media literacy, AI and the news industry and emerge with an engaging story and lessons to teach students, teachers, journalists, and citizens around the world.
A typical day might include:
A virtual presentation for a group of older adults;
Some deep work writing a new course module on generative AI;
Or writing a press release to promote our latest program or product;
A LOT of juggling — so adaptability and organization are a must.
We’re a small team with big ambitions — so we’re looking for self-starters who value transparency and teamwork. Intellectual humility is key. As is a sense of humor.
