As a Sr Public Relations Strategist, you’ll help enhance and protect the Principal global brand reputation through strategic communications, public relations and media relations with a focus on the U.S. market. Here's some of what you can expect day to day: Develop and nurture media relationships with a focus on local, regional, trade and national media outlets on behalf of clients. Serve as central source of contact for media inquiries. Develop communications, public relations, and promotion/publicity plans for business unit and corporate clients. Implement plans, which includes both proactive and responsive media contact, resulting in positive media placements for clients. Develop, distribute, and follow up on materials for print and electronic media. Provide direct contact with the media and deliver strategic messages in both written and oral form. Provide professional consultation, recommendations, and training to company clients and spokespeople regarding news media contact. Assist in reviewing and assessing media coverage and trends, recommending strategies or technologies as appropriate.
