Copywriter

We have an exciting opportunity for an advantageous and resourceful hybrid Copywriter to join an in-house Creative Studio's team for a six-month contract in McLean, VA.

The Copywriter will help craft creative strategies, concepts and messaging for consumer campaigns with the goal of increasing customer acquisition and engagement. The ideal candidate will have technical copywriting experience with loyalty programs and/or the financial industry.

Copywriter Responsibilities: Proactively understand and gain knowledge of the business, brands, target audiences, and competitor activities.
Collaborate with the creative team responsible for developing co-branded marketing, seeing all projects through from concept, design, production, completion, and delivery. Partner closely with account managers to keep all projects on track.
Partner with the ACD/Design team/Copy Lead to develop compelling creative solutions across omni-platform touchpoints with a customer-first lens. Effectively communicate the strategic intent for each tactic while adhering to business requirements.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to interpret and action on creative briefs.
Develop creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the Art Directors and designers.
Copywriter Requirements:Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant Copywriting experience, preferably in an agency environment or in-house creative department.
Experience writing for the financial services, medical or pharmaceutical industries, technical writing, or related fields.
Experience writing for Acquisition, Retention, B2B, Performance, or Direct Response audiences.
Strong copy-editing skills.
Comfort working on a range of projects from short-form (like headlines) to longer-form (like brand positioning).
A standout portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking, storytelling, brand, and campaign development.
