We are seeking a reporter to cover the human aspects of the technology industry -- the people who work for and lead tech companies; human resources and diversity & inclusion issues; workforce issues and initiatives; and the complex business of returning to office-based work and/or building out permanent remote-work teams. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience producing journalism with real people at its core and the deep sense of empathy required to win the trust of sources and readers alike. Existing sourcing in the tech world is a significant plus but not required. The ideal candidate will have a knack for finding out what's happening and explaining why it matters to a savvy audience. We're not looking for a reporter to summarize what others have already reported; we're looking for a reporter who can consistently break news that other reporters have to follow.
