COTA is seeking a part-time, entry-level PR & Communications Assistant to support the department during Major Events with administrative duties, content development, and partner services (e.g. press escort).
It is encouraged applicants hold a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related field, and have some guest services experience. Applicants should be confident in their relationship building skills and creative content development, and should thrive in a fast-paced, constantly-evolving atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
Media: Assist with outreach and pitching to media, escorting media while on-site, monitoring traditional and social media coverage during Major Events
Content: Assist with content development including press releases, media alerts, and event recap blogs
Influencers/Content Creators: Assist with research for appropriate influencers/content creators for each event, outreach to influencers and creators, escorting influencers and creators on-site
Reporting: Assist with compiling reports that tell the story of our brand's reputation in the public eye from both social media and traditional media outlets
Events: Assist with other duties as necessary for on-site events
Provide efficient and exemplary assistance to the Public Relations & Communications team
