Saddleback is looking for a Public Relations Specialist (PRS) to share the Saddleback Leather message to influencers, bloggers and relevant news outlets in coordination with the SLC Marketing Team Strategy. Saddleback has a lot of exciting things happening and we are looking for the right person to share our news with the world!
We’re looking for someone who is likable, is good at networking, is really good with people, doesn’t take no for an answer, loves goals, is good at following up and is a go-getter. Some would call this person a PR specialist or some would say it has to do with business development, but here’s what we need. They will take our upcoming or current newsworthy cool stuff and get people talking about them on podcasts, TV, in online articles, blogs, magazines, in clubs, forums, etc. You’ll be working closely with me, Dave, and our marketing manager to get the voice of the company and the message just right.

Important details:
Location - The Saddleback Headquarters in Azle, TX, Hybrid role
Position - Full Time, Typically M-F 8:30am - 5pm, some flexibility
Travel - Some travel to conferences and events required
Must haves - Please don’t apply if you don’t meet the following requirements
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications or a related field, or equivalent knowledge
2-4 years of Public Relations experience in the retail and/or accessories industry is preferred
Experience in developing web content and the use of other new media such as blogs and podcasts, including linkbuilding, contacting bloggers and attaining guest posts
Experience with organizing and conducting desk-side pitches with editors
